Prince William and Prince Charles shared their concerns with each other before taking them to the Queen on Sunday, who reportedly ordered Prince Andrew to stay out of sight 'for his own good'.
It is understood to be a last minute intervention as Andrew's name still appeared on a version of a printed order of service, indicating he intended to participate in the procession.
