Kate, Princess of Wales, has paid tribute to the late Princess Diana at Saturday’s Trooping the Colour, stepping out in an outfit seemingly inspired by Lady Di during a tour of Saudi Arabia in the 80s. The princess attended the annual military parade alongside her husband Prince William and their three children, as well as King Charles and Queen Camilla, which was held to mark the official birthday of the king.
The 42-year-old spent two weeks in hospital in January after she underwent major abdominal surgery. Two months later, she announced in a video message that tests had revealed the presence of cancer and she was receiving preventative chemotherapy. She is still undergoing treatment, but her improved health meant she was able to appear in public for the first time since December. In a rare personal written message on Friday, she said she was making good progress but was “not out of the woods”.
