Dr Merry spoke on Q+A on Monday night where he reflected on the controversy his school faced earlier in the year. Picture: ABC Dr Merry went on to argue there are three main aspects to the social media abuse rocking young people. Dr Merry then highlighted the shaming culture rife online that can be detrimental to vulnerable young social media users.
“So I’m not a big fan of banning it, but beneath that there’s a very seedy underbelly. If we can see it in our context … then it can be happening anywhere.”
