There is frustration, anger, and confusion in the Hunter and Central Coast regions after COVID-19 Pfizer vaccinations, including those for priority workers, were cancelled and redirected to Sydney hotspots.

Linda Champness from Swansea, who works for an in-home aged care assistance organisation, said she was stressed by the text messages that said both her appointments had been cancelled. Labor Member for Swansea, Yasmin Catley, whose electorate straddles the Central Coast and Hunter regions, said it was disappointing that people in priority groups were affected."There have been technical failures in relation to booking a vaccine and now these cancellation failures. It has to get sorted out.

People in priority groups are being asked to email or call NSW Health to reinstate their appointments, while others are expected to receive a "priority code" within the week to reschedule.Locked-down Central Coast confusion
