A pro-Palestine group is set to rally outside the New South Wales Supreme Court ahead of a decision on whether demonstrations can happen this long weekend.
Palestine Action Group called on its supporters to gather on Thursday afternoon near Sydney 's Martin Place to"fight for our right to protest" against the NSW Police.

Hands off Lebanon!" an Instagram post read.The first rally in Sydney is scheduled for 1pm on Sunday starting at Town Hall, with a candlelight vigil organised for Monday in the same location at 6pm.
"The reasons are it’s the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attack in Israel, obviously community anger and concern on the streets is heightened as a result of that."The protest and march was scheduled to take place in the evening. It’s a long weekend in Sydney and the police did believe there was a high prospect of conflict on the streets of Sydney, something that we couldn’t abide or stand by under the circumstances.
