Christopher Russell 'targeted' shops in and around Crewe before he was caught by police
A 'prolific shoplifter' has been banned from entering ten shops and a retail park after a spate of incidents at convenience stores around Crewe.
The 39-year-old, from Crewe but of no fixed abode, was arrested after Cheshire Police began investigating 'multiple shoplifting incidents' that saw him 'target' stores in the town. Russell was issued with a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order at Chester Magistrates' Court on April 22. He has been banned from entering a number of nearby stores including:
Duty Sergeant Jay Burns, of Crewe Beat Management, said: "Christopher Russell is a prolific offender and he has targeted businesses across Crewe and its surrounding areas for a considerable amount of time, so I am very thankful that the hard work of our Beat Management Team has been recognised and he has now been issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order.
