Meg Lanning's Australia go into the T20 World Cup final, ready for a tough examination from a brilliant South Africa pace attack — and from a noisy home crowd.
abc.net.au/news/lanning-aussies-ready-for-daunting-world-cup-final-examination/102024614Meg Lanning says Australia is preparing to counter the double threat of a "world-class" South African pace attack and a vociferous home crowd as its seeks to lift the T20 World Cup again in Cape Town.
But with the hosts coming off an emotionally charged final-ball upset over England in the semi-final at the same ground on Friday, and with more than 13,500 spectators expected for the decider, Australia captain Lanning believes wresting momentum will be key for her side."We're expecting them to come out and play to their full strength — and they're riding a wave of emotion as well, so we're certainly prepared for that.
"It's a new experience for them being in the World Cup final and sometimes that can be a good thing. So, we're very aware of the threat that they pose and that we have to play well.
