At its peak on Monday morning, hundreds of protesters – mostly from the United Workers Union, but also from the Victorian Socialists group – gathered and blocked entrances to the centre. The union is asking for an immediate pay increase of more than 25 per cent, with wage increases of 15 per cent in years two and three.
