Hundreds of people have turned out to air their concerns about a range of issues as Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan prepares to address the Rural Press Club of Victoria.
Ms Allan is due to address journalists today at a lunch being held within her Bendigo East electorate. Gathering in the car park of the venue where she will speak, the people displayed a range of banners in protest to issues ranging from energy, transmission line and mining projects, as well as the treatment of farmers.Ms Allan is expected to address the press club on issues important to regional and rural Victorians, but farmers attending the protest say they are frustrated with the government and that “short-term” politicians are making “short-term” decisions.
