A woman was taken to hospital following the collision

The PSNI says it ‘appreciated the honesty’ of a man who admitted stealing a car and crashing into another vehicle in Co Tyrone .

A woman in her 20s was brought to hospital to be treated for injuries suffered in the crash. The man was arrested but has since been released on police bail.READ MORE: Change to NI free school meals and uniform grants eligibility announced “On arrival to the scene a male approached ourselves and immediately informed us that he did not hold a full driving licence and had also stolen the vehicle before crashing it, striking another motorist.“Although we appreciate the honesty, an innocent person going about their day to day life has now been harmed by this male’s actions and they will now have their day in court to answer to the local Magistrate.We wish the other driver a speedy recovery.

“A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital for her injuries. One man in his 30s was arrested in relation to the incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
