Only vehicles exiting the town will be facilitated until roads are cleared of congestion
Police have closed a number of busy roads as the public flock to the north coast on Bank Holiday Monday.
Earlier on Easter Monday, a spokesperson for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said that delays were to be expected in both the Portrush and Portstewart areas.They said: "Traffic is expected to be very busy in and around both Portstewart and Portrush today. Visitors should expect delays.
