Shadow Health and Ageing Minister Mark Butler says we need “public health information campaigns” to counter the mixed messaging Australians have received regarding vaccines over the past week.
“Frankly, the best thing to do to counter hesitancy would be to put out public health information campaigns, like we see all around the world.
“We have a great tradition in Australia of having good public information campaigns to answer the questions people legitimately have about which vaccine they should consider taking. “There was already a relatively confusing position before the Prime Minister’s press conference late the other night, but he has substantially increased the level of chaos, the level of confusion that we have around our vaccination program.”
