Entry fees at Brisbane’s public swimming pools will be reduced by up to $7 this summer.
Entry fees at Brisbane’s public swimming pools will be reduced to $2 for both adults and children this summer.“Fun often comes at a cost, particularly for families,” the lord mayor said while announcing the price cut.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the $2 entry fee would be unlimited and would also apply to public holidays. The new initiative is part of Brisbane City Council’s commitment to ensuring residents have access to free and affordable events and activities. “We’re slashing pool prices to just $2 over summer,” he said. “Fun often comes at a cost, particularly for families, and cost-of-living has been front of mind when preparing the 2023-24 budget.“It’s all part of our plan to deliver better suburbs, better community facilities, and an even better Brisbane.”
Under the $2 Summer Dips plan, the council will refund pool lessees the difference between the $2 fee and their regular entry prices.
