Public to reject Indigenous Voice 'in droves,' supporter claims

A director of the pro-Voice organisation Uphold and Recognise has revealed he expects Australians to reject the referendum 'in droves' due to a lack of detail from the Albanese Government.

He said that if the government wanted the vote to succeed, it needed to provide more detail about the proposal.

However, a source involved in the preparation of the No campaign told SkyNews.com.au that once people start to think about how they will vote, the lack of detail will be a problem for Voice proponents. “The Voice to Parliament will be an advisory body, made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians who will give advice to government on the issues that affect their communities, so that better policies will be made,” Mr Dreyfus said.

Professor Craven argued that in order to maintain public support for Australia’s constitutional structure, we must redress “a special difficulty that we have in relation to Indigenous people".
