From Wednesday, face masks will no longer be mandatory on public transport in NSW. Health authorities are recommending that people wear masks where physical distancing is difficult, and in settings where there are vulnerable people. 9News MORE:

"This is a common sense approach that brings the rules into line for people travelling on buses or trains with those for planes and airport terminals," Perrottet said.The rule change also means people using taxis and rideshare services, or those at transport waiting areas and cruise terminals, no longer need to wear masks.
