A final plan is scheduled to be presented on Dec. 7.
A public meeting to give the public an opportunity to comment on San Pedro’s Waterfront Draft Connectivity Plan will be presented from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Harbor Administration Building, 425 S. Palos Verdes St., San Pedro.
Eric Johnson, president of Jerico Development Inc., a partner on the West Harbor development team, told harbor commissioners earlier this month that the plan would be key as the development moved forward. West Harbor is slated to open in 2025. The goal, supporters said, is to create a destination that will entice people to “park once” and stay.
Gerdo Aquino, CEO of SWA, the firm selected by the port to create what is now a more than 400-page plan, told harbor commissioners at their Sept. 7 meeting that the document started with looking at how the waterfront is changing.
