Singers Grigory Lips and Oleg Gazmanov performed, as did the Russian army choir, in between statements of support for the “special military operation in Ukraine.” As with previous major pro-war events, there were claims that many of the attendees had not chosen to be present. “Most in attendance were employees of government institutions who were forced to attend by their employers,”“I didn’t really want to go to the concert, but at least I’ll visit the stadium, I’ve never been there,” a man in his 50s attending the concert told the outlet.
