Vladimir Putin has made his first nuclear move in protecting Russia by moving weapons to a neighbouring country 'as an element of deterrence' to nations 'thinking about a strategic defeat'.
Vladimir Putin has confirmed the move of nuclear weapons to deter the West from"thinking about inflicting a strategic defeat on us" amid the ongoing Ukraine war.
"The first nuclear warheads were delivered to the territory of Belarus. But only the first ones. We will do this job completely by the end of the summer or by end of the year." The Russian leader agreed to relocate the short-range weapons, which are small nuclear warheads and delivery system used mainly in the battlefield, after the United States made a similar move and deployed about 100 in five NATO countries. However, President Putin stressed there was no need to use the tactical weapons yet.
"Why should we threaten the whole world? I have already said that the use of extreme measures is possible in case there is a danger to Russian statehood." "As for demilitarisation, soon Ukraine will stop using its own equipment altogether," President Putin said, claiming"there's nothing left". President Putin also touched on his country's economy, claiming economic growth was up two per cent amid the sanctions from several nations, including Australia.
