Embattled consulting giant PwC has revealed the names of the partners it stood down over the leaking of confidential government tax information.

The firm has been under fire since revelations its former head of international tax for PwC Australia Peter Collins allegedly leaked details relating to a crackdown on multinational tax avoidance.

In a letter to staff over the weekend, PwC acting chief executive Kristin Stubbins confirmed the inquiry had received the name of the 63 current or formers partners on the email list. “In response to the Senate questions, we provided the requested names of those involved in the confidentiality breaches as well as the names of partners who were directed to go on leave pending the outcome of our investigation related to the confidentiality breaches,” Ms Stubbins wrote, according to the AFR.
