has announced a revamp of its frequent flier program, which it says will make it easier for passengers to use their Qantas Points to book flights.
It's the biggest change to the programme in 35 years, bosses say, adding it will make it easier to travel to places like London, Tokyo, New York and Singapore with Qantas Points, even during peak times. While usually requiring more points than the existing Classic reward seats, Classic Plus will represent "some of the best value across the frequent flyer program with much wider availability," Qantas said.
Qantas said a typical return Sydney to London flight on the old Classic Rewards would cost 110,400 points and $714. However there will be 20m seats on offer a year for Classic Plus Flight Rewards rather than 5m on Classic reward
