Qantas has recorded its best July on-time performance in three years but its budget offshoot Jetstar hit a new low for 2024 amid the Crowdstrike outage.

That put them ahead of Virgin Australia which had 73 per cent of flights depart on time, and 70.3 per cent of services arrive on time. Jetstar only had 65 per cent of flights depart on time in July, while 66.9 per cent of services arrived on time - the airline's worst result for the first seven months of 2024."We had some significant operational challenges during July but our cancellation rate remained low," Jetstar Chief Operating Officer Matt Franzi said.

"Once our systems were back up and running, our teams were able to reaccommodate everyone affected by this incident.
