Queensland Health Minister Yvette D’Ath was forced to admit she called and texted an incorrect number in her attempts to speak with Minister for Defence Peter Dutton - after he said he had not heard from her.

“I‘ve sent a text to Peter Dutton this morning, asking him to call me. I have not heard from him,” Ms D’Ath told a press conference.

“Yvette D'ath’s comment this morning that she called and or texted me is untrue. I have not had any contact from her,” the Minister for Defence said. “The real priority is to get home not just our troops but other Queenslanders who have been separated from their families for way too long.”The number I was given had an incorrect digit. We’ve since spoken and he’s assured me the Commonwealth are comfortable with the approach being taken by Queensland and the ADF to ensure our diggers come home safely.
