Queensland Health Minister Yvette D'Ath has urged parents to get their children vaccinated with the inoculation rate 'still too low' ahead of the new school year.

Health Minister Yvette D'Ath on Thursday said the inculcation rate for 12 to 15-year-old's was not as high as authorities would like as students prepare to return to the classroom."The numbers are still too low, these kids are going back to high school very soon," Ms D'Ath said.

The state government will release a detailed COVID-safe plan for schools in the coming days, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
