Queensland Police are investigating a number of nightclubs which reportedly broke coronavirus restrictions as patrons were found to be dancing at venues at the weekend.
Nightclubs were allowed to reopen as part of the state’s easing of restrictions however patrons were required to sit and listen to music and not dance on dancefloors in a move to maintain social distancing
protocols. Individuals could face a $1,300 fine if found to be breaking restrictions with businesses looking at a much larger fine. Only one active case of the virus was reported in the state. Image: News Corp Australia
