BREAKING: Queensland has recorded one new COVID19 cases after more than 20,000 flocked to get tested.

It comes as authorities continue to try and find the origin of the latest cluster, which has now infected five staff members of the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre and six close contacts.

Police also slapped the Portuguese Club at Pinkenba with almost $7000 in fines for breaching the chief health officers directives and for liquor offences after an illegal event on the weekend. Dr Young said they were searching for the “missing link” between the two clusters, and had urged more Queenslanders to get tested.

Yesterday the Federal Court ruled in favour of the Western Australian Premier keeping his state’s border closed, finding it was the most effective tool in keeping the state safe from coronavirus.“If we can minimise the virus from coming in, we can keep our families safe,” she said.
