Sky News Australia host Paul Murray says the historic Path to Treaty legislation passed by Queensland’s Labor government is “massive” for Australia’s future.
Since the legislation passed, Indigenous corporations have announced they will push for the power to veto mines and environmentally and culturally sensitive areas as part of these treaty negotiations.
“If they are going to find a way to deny new exploration of resources, we’re going to be in big trouble very soon,” Mr Murray told Sky News Australia host Sharri Markson.
