Graphite products group Quantum Graphite is chasing a $5 million equity injection at 38¢ a share, in a deal via Shaw and Partners on Tuesday morning.

The broker was seeking buyers for 13.2 million new shares in a placement at a 7.9 per cent discount to the last close.

Funds raised would be used for an energy storage cell pilot and site preparation at its Uley project , according to terms sent to potential investors. Shaw and Partners was seeking bids by 2pm Perth time on Wednesday. The company had a $131.8 million market capitalisation prior to the raising. Elsewhere in equity capital markets deals, PAC Partners was beating the drum for US focused copper/gold explorer Alderan Resources with a $1.06 million placement at 1¢ a share.Both companies shares were halted from trading on Tuesday morning.
