Queen last toured Australia with Lambert in early 2018, and before that in 2014. The 37-year-old singer first performed with Queen in 2009 and has gone on to play almost 200 shows, singing the songs made famous by original frontman Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991. "This is a great opportunity. Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever and got us our best notices ever," May said. "So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious."Lambert said the visual spectacle of Queen live on stage in 2020 would "reframe these iconic songs" and that he's excited to be bringing the show to Australian fans of the band.
