Queensland radio host, Sammy Power, dubbed 'Queen of radio' has passed away aged 55. 9News
The former Triple M host was confirmed dead by friends on Monday after she was found in her bedroom in Hendra.
Friends and former colleagues have shared messages of sadness following the announcement with many taking to social media to pay tribute to the radio star. "Very shocked and saddened to hear about the death of Sammy Power," ABC Brisbane breakfast radio host Loretta Ryan tweeted.Former radio presenter Spencer Howson tweeted: "First Gary Ord and now Sammy Power. We've lost two Brisbane breakfast radio presenters within a week. Stunned."After 28 years working in radio, Power abandoned her successful career in media saying she felt "burnt out".
