Usually only six soldiers would carry a coffin, however due to the lead lining an extra two were needed to carry the Queen. Although we don’t know everyone that has carried the Queen’s coffin, one young soldier from Fiji was specially selected as one of the pallbearers in the Edinburgh ceremony last week.
