New data shows Queensland holds the highest rate of youth recidivism in Australia.

A Productivity Commission report found more than half of youth offenders in the state reappear before court within a year of their initial offence.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has acknowledged the issue saying there are up to 400 repeat offenders who “need to be targeted”.
