Queensland batter Jack Clayton has gone down on his haunches in agony twice after being hit right where it hurts consecutively in the same Sheffield Shield innings. The left-hander missed a ball from New South Wales right-arm quick Ross Pawson which seamed back in from around the wicket and beat his inside edge, hammering into his groin area.

The 25-year-old had to take a moment to remove his helmet and compose himself. Having just recovered from the previous hit, Clayton had his nightmare relived when he bottom edged a ball into the same area off the bowling of Liam Hatcher. He appeared in even more pain this time, falling to the ground again in a position of prostration.
