NSW-based Member for Tweed Geoff Provest said it was "beyond belief" that Queensland had refused to participate. "You've got to apply to the other state, you've got to supply information about how long you're going to work for and what percentage of your work, and you've got to give regular updates," he said.Gold Coast-based plumber Carl Busby spent time helping to clean flood-ravaged houses in New South Wales in the early aftermath of the disaster.
