Queensland Firebirds have issued an apology to West Coast Fever player Verity Charles after she was allegedly spat at in Brisbane on Saturday night.The Firebirds are investigating the incident that allegedly took place in the popular South Bank precinctCharles and the Fever are based in south-east Queensland during the Super Netball competition
Firebirds chief executive Catherin Clark released a statement on Sunday saying the incident "involved four women, one wearing a Firebirds supporter shirt".She said she had spoken to Edwards and offered an "unreserved apology".
