Police are investigating the death of a man involved in a car park fight after an NRL game in North Queensland.
The altercation between two men, aged 38 and 34, happened outside the Townsville Stadium after the Cowboys-Knights game on September 14.He was found dead five days later at an address in Ball Bay, near Mackay. Officers arrested the 34-year-old man on the night of the fight and charged him with grievous bodily harm.Police are waiting for post-mortem results to confirm the man's cause of death.
They have appealed for anyone who witnessed the alleged assault between 9:30pm and 10:15pm in the stadium's southern carpark on Pride Close to come forward.
