Queensland records one new coronavirus case in Forest Lake — a close contact of an existing case — after more than 20,000 Queenslanders are tested for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The person is a close contact of an existing case and lives in Forest Lake.
Deputy Premier Steven Miles said the latest case was "already in quarantine and therefore not posing an ongoing infection risk to the community"."The highest number in a 24-hour period we have recorded throughout the pandemic," he said.Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the number was a record for Queensland.
"That's what the Federal Court has found and I'm very pleased with that result because that is exactly what I've been saying."
