The Queensland government has announced the removal of its remaining COVID restrictions after advice from the state’s health officer.
From 1am Thursday, visitors to aged care facilities, disability accommodation and corrective facilities will not need to be vaccinated.
The vaccine mandate will also be revoked for staff at schools, childcare centres, airports and youth detention centres. Mandatory vaccination will still be required for healthcare staff working in hospitals, aged care and disability facilities.
