A 'beach-loving' Brisbane woman has drowned a day before her birthday after she was pulled unresponsive from the water near Bulcock Beach on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Lucinda McGrath was pulled ashore near Bulcock Beach, in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast, on Sunday after beachgoers spotted her unresponsive in the water.Ms McGrath, who was an assistant cabinet maker, had visited the coastal town with a work colleague to celebrate her upcoming birthday.

Picture: SuppliedShe said her free-spirited daughter"loved the beach" and regularly travelled from her home in Zillmere, north Brisbane, to camp in the region. Ms McGrath's cousin Jennifer Moy said she was"devastated" by the tragedy, describing her as"adventurous" and"fun".Another mourner took to social media to pay tribute to the beach-loving 27-year-old.
“Rest in Peace Lucy. Thank you for providing me with your free spirited vibes throughout high school,” they wrote.
