Another passenger has recounted their 'scary' experience after being onboard a flight where a man pulled open the emergency exit after landing on the tarmac.

'Wasn't taking anybody else in': Jetstar passenger gives scary account of watching man force emergency exit open on plane after landing

The A320-200 aircraft had pulled up to its assigned gate when a passenger lunged at the emergency door, forcing it open and triggering the emergency slides. He said the flight was normal until after the plane landed when the man ran down and tried to exit the aircraft. "It was a bit surreal, I didn't think he was actually gonna do it, considering we had landed and they were just about to open up the main exit but he literally just wanted to get out that door.

The man climbed out the exit and onto the wing, with one photo showing the man appearing to be dangling in the air while holding onto the engine of the aircraft. Picture: Supplied/Sky News
