Breaking: Jeff Gladney, Ex-TCU CB dies in Dallas car accident, agent confirms
The NFL was hit with another shocking tragedy over Memorial Day weekend.an overnight car accident in the Dallas areaGladney, a 2020 first-round pick, had signed with the Arizona Cardinals two months ago in hopes of restarting his career.
“We are devastated to learn of Jeff Gladney’s passing,” the Cardinals organization said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to his family, friends and all who are mourning this tremendous loss.”in an indictment on a third-degree family violence assault charge, but the cornerback was found not guilty by a jury in Dallas County on March 10.
“We are saddened by the tragic death of former Viking Jeff Gladney,” the team said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to his family and friends, as well as the Arizona Cardinals organization and Jeff’s current and former teammates and coaches who are mourning his life lost much too soon.” Gladney was All-Big 12 twice at TCU before being selected by the Vikings with the No. 31 overall pick in 2020.
