Police interceptors clocked the vehicle
An R plate driver who was "heading to the beach" was caught by police driving at speeds of over 100mph.
Police interceptors from Maydown stopped the driver on Frosses Road, Ballymoney, driving at a speed of 104mph on Wednesday, May 31.Read more: Fonacab video appears to show driver holding passenger at gunpoint Police have warned of the dangers of driving at such high speeds saying "the faster the speed, the bigger the mess".
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Road Policing Interceptors from Maydown stopped this R driver who was heading to the beach yesterday on the Frosses Road, at 104mph. This speed was well over twice this driver’s speed limit.
