South Sydney Rabbitohs Chief Executive, Blake Solly, confirmed Latrell had the green light to play in the upcoming event, whilst throwing his and the club's support behind the competition.

Indigenous All Stars captain Latrell Mitchell has the go-ahead from his club to take the field this October long weekend for the Koori Knockout in Bathurst. Rabbitohs boss, Blake Solly, confirmed his support for the Biripi man to Fox Sports. “Latrell is fit and available to play," said Solly. “It’s an important event for them and the community.

" The call comes amidst the club's attempt to reduce Mitchell's one-game ban as a result of a controversial leaked photo, to see him return for the club's final game of the season this weekend. Mitchell was set to return this weekend from a foot injury, which has ruled him out since Round 19. Fox Sports have reported that while no official decision has been made public, it is likely he will be forced to sit out the opening NRL round of next season.
