Many were excited for the first day of racing at Aintree
One thing was clear about the Grand National as racegoers prepared to head down to Aintree Racecourse from Liverpool Central station.
Claire added: “When you get off the train, you can feel the fun. That’s what’s so exciting as well. We’re going to go by train, the people you’re talking to are getting excited." John and Andrew meanwhile have been heading to the track for 25 years. Andrew said they had started going to Aintree when they were working together. He said: “It’s something we’ve done when we worked and now when we’re retired. It’s just a little tradition we have.”
Mike said: “It’s all good quality racing, straight after Cheltenham. We’re going to stay at home Saturday - a bit busy for us.”
