'Can anyone tell that the whole of Morecambe has no water for 24 hours.'
Homes in Morecambe have been left without water for more than 24 hours, leading to residents panic buying bottles from supermarkets.
This comes as water problems began in the area on Sunday, and United Utilities shut off access to water in homes to help meet the demand of their customers. Experts say the impact of the freeze and now thaw has been affecting water supply in the area. United Utilities have set up collection stations where affected customers could pick up bottled after which remain open between 8am and 8pm today . However, it seems that shoppers headed to supermarkets in attempt to stock up on the essential item.
She later posted a picture of her sat-nav showing traffic in the Morecambe area, saying: "Morecambe is crazy busy tonight. Everyone panicking they don't have water."
