On Friday morning, 2GB and 4BC announcer Steve Price was informed by his recently installed boss at Macquarie Media, Tom Malone, that he would not be remaining in the same afternoon slot in 2020, with former Today co-host Deborah Knight taking over the reins."I was doing afternoons. I was really pleased to get off the late-night shifts. I went into afternoons, in my view it was going really well," Price said.
The string of announcements comes as Macquarie reels from the loss of 50 per cent of Alan Jones' advertising revenue after his controversial comments about New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.Kate Geraghty Meanwhile, Georgie Gardner, who suddenly disappeared from Today when it was revealed Karl Stefanovic would return to his old gig with a new co-host in Allison Langdon, will remain with Nine next year as a regular newsreader.
