Look to the skies

One of the world's finest aerobatic display teams will be visible over Nottinghamshire today as the Royal Air Force takes to the skies. The Red Arrows will fly over the county, taking off from RAF Valley in Holyhead, on the west coast, and making the journey to Lincoln.

The RAF Valley to RAF Waddington transit will begin at 10.30am and end at 10.59am. The aircraft will reach Brackenfield in north east Derbyshire at 10.53am. It will then cross the county border into north Nottinghamshire and fly over Warsop in Mansfield and reach Walesby at 10.56am. The aircraft will then make the quick journey to Sutton on Trent by 10.57am, flying close to the village of Egmanton and Weston.

Once passing over Sutton on Trent, it will then head to its final destination of RAF Waddington, in Lincoln. Timings and routes may change due to weather conditions or other requirements.
