A new parody Twitter account that paid for a checkmark badge and chose a display name of an ESPN analyst tweeted that the Raiders coach was fired. The credible-looking tweet received nearly 10,000 engagements. Twitter suspended the account after two hours.

This made the purported news appear more credible. It was suspended after the tweet had been live for around two hours and had received close to 10,000 engagements.
