Leeds rode their luck on a few occasions in the first half, relying on Illan Meslier for one particularly special save, but their class eventually shone through. The timing and quality of Patrick Bamford’s goal was critical to the flow of the evening. Enzo Maresca’s side will need to win to guarantee Leeds cannot go past them in the table before their next league game on March 29.
