Rangers have reportedly made an"approach" for Brighton's head of recruitment Sam Jewell over becoming the club's new technical director.Ibrox CEO James Bisgrove confirmed yesterday, during the official unveiling of new boss Philippe Clement, that the Light Blues hope to make an appointment in the director of football position imminently.

"But all of that said, we do believe a director of football, a technical director is something that would add additional value and it's a live conversation that we are having at the moment."
"There are variables in that, depending on the individuals that the board believes, football board and Philippe feels has the best fit.Jewell was previously an opposition scout for Newport County and chief scout at Swindon Town before making the move to Brighton in 2018.
