The Romanian was handed a role off the bench in the Light Blues' 2-1 win over Morton in the Viaplay Cup, replacing new arrival Sam Lammers as they looked to seal victory.
Ianis Hagi is looking for more regular football at Rangers this season after sending manager Michael Beale a message in a bid to get more minutes.
Replacing Sam Lammers with almost an hour gone, the Romanian helped turn a 1-0 deficit into a place in the quarter-finals with Morton holding their slender lead when he came on at Ibrox. That has restricted him to just over half-an-hour of football this campaign but he understands Beale is in charge and respects his decisions.
"I'm a simple guy and I just love football. I train 100 per cent on a daily basis, I've just come back from a one year injury. They know who I am and my history at this football club and what I did. I just want to play football.
